This harvest season, we welcome you to our Herb Farm Kitchen for a series of intensive, hands on workshop that will show you a few different ways to preserve produce from the garden for flavorful eating all year long. In this workshop, we will focus on tomatoes. Red Wagon owner, Julie Rubaud, will take you through the steps of her favorite tomato preserving techniques from roasting to pureeing to dehydrating and you will take home some samples and printed out recipes. We will discuss tomato varieties, best ways to use the various styles of preserved tomatoes, and the benefits of freezing vs. hot water bath canning vs. dehydrating.
$50 workshop fee includes samples of each product to take home, hand outs and a light lunch.
