Description
Our beloved Felco hand pruners are made for a lifetime of use, but is corrosion, dirt, build up, and lack of maintenance knowledge shortening yours? In a small individualized setting, knife and tool sharpener Linda Furiya, aka Madam Cutler, shares her professional approach to maintaining Felco hand pruners. She’ll demonstrate how to disassemble, clean, oil, realign, reassemble, and sharpen your pruners, then guide you as you complete the same process on your own while learning to recognize wear, remove rust, and understand when parts need replacing. All equipment, products, and supplies are provided (parts not included)—just bring your Felco pruners, a willingness to get your hands dirty, and curiosity to learn a skill you’ll use season after season. These Felco model numbers will not be part of the workshop: 171M, 171L, 100, 32, 320, 5, 160L, 160S, 31, 322, 321.
Linda Furiya of Madam Cutler & Co. is a professional knife sharpener with a background in bladesmithing. When she’s not sharpening, she can often be found playing polo, making knives, or enjoying a game of mahjong.
