Queer Botany: Goldenrod!

  • Red Wagon Plants 2408 Shelburne Falls Road Hinesburg, VT, 05461 (map)

Goldenrod is a plant full of versatility and abundance. It provides beauty to our landscape, culinary and medicinal uses to humans, and amazing habitat to pollinators. Over a dozen different species of Goldenrod grow in Vermont. In this class we’ll explore some of their queer facets - polyamory, asexual reproduction, and so much more. Everyone interested in taking a look at nature through a queer lens is invited to participate in this fun and awe-inspiring exploration. Bring a friend—and your favorite goldenrod!

Kat Consler loves being outdoors, surrounded by plants and birds, and is passionate about connecting people to nature in its many forms.
