Anise hyssop appreciation post! This plant is an easy to grow perennial; it also self seeds so will pop up all around, but not too aggressively; it makes great tea; and it’s a pollinator magnet (see our stories).

We are offering this in the bake shop this week!

Anise Hyssop, Mint and Lemon Refresher
Drop into boiling water-
A handful of lemon verbena sprigs
A handful of anise hyssop sprigs
Juice of 1 lemon
1 to 3 TBS honey (to your taste)
1 small pinch of sea salt
Let cool, strain, and serve over ice.
This is a great and beautiful thing to keep in the fridge on hot days!
